Adobe Illustrator Web 2.0 Styles

Posted by Jeff On 22 May 2009 7 Commented

I found myself making glossy buttons in Illustrator so often that I finally decided to make a library of graphic styles so i won’t have to do it over and over and over again.

So here it is to share, just in time for the glossy Web 2.0 button trend to come to an end. One would hope.

Download the CS3 file here (150KB zip file)

Here’s a CS2 and CS version (I hope they work, since I can’t actually test them).

Download the CS2 file here (150KB zip file)

Download the CS file here (233KB zip file)

Download and unzip then put the file in Adobe Illustrator CS_ > Presets > Graphic Styles.

Fixed. Thanks for pointing that out.

These look nice. Can you make them backwards compatible? I have CS2 and they don’t work.

  4. Jeff says:

@Marek: Done. Let me know if it isn’t working properly.

Could you add a version for CS? or just add an CS2 version w/ styles in the conent area of the file and save as a regular .AI instead of style .AI file? That way I can extract the graphic style for CS.

    Love you work.

@Jocelyn – Good idea. I’ll try to post that on Monday when I’m back in town.

Update: Okay, CS is there with the original vector elements on the page and in the Graphic Styles menu. Please let me know if this doesn’t work.
